A Word from the Bishop

I would like to welcome you to our website. This site was set up with the goal of helping you to obtain a better understanding of the Church of God in Quebec/Maritimes as well as our vision and mission.

First of all, let me introduce myself. I am Rev. Jacques Houle, Bishop (Regional Overseer) of the Church of God, responsible for supervision of the district of Quebec and the Maritimes.

It has been 23 years now, that my wife and I accepted the call and the plan of God for our lives. This call was to continue the supervision of the church that my father, Rev. Normand Houle had begun in the city of Granby. Afterwards, in 1994, the leadership of the Church of God appointed me as the Bishop (Overseer) of the Churches of God in this part of Canada.

Since then, we have, with the help of district pastors, opened over 41 churches and/or missions affiliated with the Church of God. We now number over 41 officially organised churches and 9 mission churches in the process of being organised. It is our responsibility to help structure these churches and serve them according to their specific needs. We want you to know that you are among those whom we would like to help and serve.
